Zero is offering new riders cash to make their first motorcycle electric.
Its revealed a new bonus offering riders up to €500 cashback on selected electric motorcycles and scooters bought within three months of getting their licence.

Winning the First-Bike Buyer

The offer covers 12 European markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Sweden, Spain, Italy, the UK and Ireland. It runs until December 31, 2026.
Zero is putting the biggest carrot in front of the bigger bikes. Buyers of a DSR/X, SR/F, S or DS can claim €500 cashback, while the smaller LS1 and XE qualify for €250.
The basic rule is simple. Get your A1, A2 or full motorcycle licence, then buy an eligible, previously unregistered 2025 or 2026 Zero from an authorised dealer within three months. In the UK, Zero also accepts CBT certificates, while Ireland accepts IBT certificates.

There are a few strings attached. Demo bikes don't count, there's one cashback payment per customer, and you have 45 days after buying the bike to submit the paperwork. Zero says the money should then arrive within four to six weeks.
And there is one important geographical detail: this isn't a global offer. The programme is currently limited to Europe, with no equivalent New Rider Bonus listed for the US market.
That makes the plan pretty clear. Zero isn't trying to persuade an established rider to rip the petrol bike out of the garage. It's trying to get to them before they've bought their first one.
The BCB Take

This is a smarter move than another discount for existing motorcyclists.
A new rider hasn't already decided what a motorcycle should feel like. They haven't got years of petrol-bike habits to unlearn. They're simply looking at bikes and asking: what do I buy?
€500 won't suddenly make a Zero cheap. Let's not pretend it does. But if you're already standing in a dealership trying to choose your first bike, it's enough money to make electric harder to ignore.
The real question is whether the bike can do the rest. Because once you throw a leg over it, cashback doesn't matter. Seat time does.
Ride safe, folks.
