Beachman Doubles Down on Retro Cool with the Aviator E-Moto

Beachman has officially unveiled the Aviator, a retro-inspired e-moto aimed at riders who want classic motorcycle style with modern electric performance.

After making a name with the ’64LM, Beachman is pushing further into the retro motorcycle space, adding more café racer attitude while keeping the lightweight, easy-to-ride approach that made the ’64LM stand out.

Classic Looks, Electric Heart

At first glance, the Aviator could easily be mistaken for a restored 1960s café racer. It has the long tank, wire-spoke wheels, round headlight and low-slung silhouette you'd expect from a vintage machine.

The bike offers two removable lithium battery options. Buyers can choose a 2.8 kWh pack with a claimed range of more than 55 miles (89 km), or upgrade to a 4.3 kWh battery that stretches that to over 80 miles (129 km). Beachman says charging takes around three hours using a n American Level 2 charger.

The current version uses a 3 kW brushless hub motor and tops out at around 45 mph (72 km/h). That puts it in the sweet spot for city riding, country lanes and back-road exploring rather than long motorway runs.

One neat touch is the lockable storage compartment hidden beneath the faux fuel tank, giving riders somewhere to stash essentials without adding luggage. Beachman has also stuck with analogue gauges instead of filling the cockpit with another digital display, helping the Aviator keep its old-school feel.

They've also teased a more powerful 125cc-equivalent version for the future. With higher speeds and a claimed range of up to 125 miles, that model could appeal to riders looking to head further afield than city streets, but it isn't available yet.

The Aviator is currently aimed at North American riders, with availability in other markets still to be confirmed. Beachman has already started expanding into France, so European riders may not have to wait forever to see the Aviator arrive.

The BCB Take

There's still plenty of room for vintage-style electric motorcycles. Maeving has shown there’s an appetite for classic-looking e-motos, and Beachman is leaning even harder into that formula with the Aviator.

The catch is knowing what kind of riding this bike is built for. The Aviator isn't chasing outright speed; it's aimed at riders who value character, simplicity and an enjoyable ride around town or on quieter roads.

If you want to throw a leg over something that stands out from the crowd and happens to be electric, the Aviator is one of the more interesting options to arrive this year. It won't be for everyone, but it's definitely bringing some personality to the growing e-moto market.

Ride safe, folks.
