Avenrà Just Made E-Moto Insurance Somebody Else's Problem

Buying a new e-moto isn't cheap. Insuring it can hurt even more.

New electric motorcycle brand Avenrà is offering the first customers of its flagship EVO sport bike 12 months of fully comprehensive insurance included with the purchase, taking one of the biggest ownership headaches off the table for new riders.

Taking the Sting Out of First-Year Ownership

For many riders, especially younger ones, the insurance quote can be more of a shock than the bike price.

The EVO has already turned heads thanks to its safety-focused approach. The bike comes equipped with Avenrà's HALO perception system, designed to give riders a better picture of what's happening around them. Buyers also get a motorcycle airbag jacket, carbon fibre helmet, gloves, and the company's HALO smartphone app, which tracks rides and can send SOS alerts if it detects a crash.

The British start-up is preparing to deliver its first bikes in July 2026. The UK comes first, with France and Italy next in line as it looks to expand into Europe by 2027.

While plenty of manufacturers talk about safety tech, Avenrà is trying to build an entire package around it, bundling rider aids and now insurance into the overall package.

The offer is available to all initial EVO customers across every ownership plan, with applications closing on August 1, 2026.

This might actually be one of the smartest launch offers we've seen from an e-moto start-up. Range figures and tech specs get all the headlines, but insurance can kill the deal before a rider even gets a chance to throw a leg over. If Avenrà can take that headache away, that's a benefit riders will feel straight away.

The SOS alert system has already had an unexpected real-world test when Avenrà CEO Paul Cummins crashed his EVO during a test ride last month. The bigger question is whether all this safety tech is enough to keep insurance premiums sensible once that free year runs out.

We got some proper seat time on the EVO earlier this year and came away impressed by what Avenrà is trying to do. If you want the full riding experience, check out Avenrà EVO Review: Power and Safety in One Package? And if you're looking for the full spec sheet, it's here.

For now, Avenrà looks to have found a way to make e-moto insurance somebody else's problem, and that's a language every rider can get on board with.

Ride safe, folks.
