The launch is over. Now it's time to see if Oben can back it up.
Indian electric motorcycle maker Oben has started delivering its new Rorr Evo after claiming more than 25,000 bookings in the first 15 days following launch. Now it's all about getting bikes on the road.
Bikes Start Rolling Out
The first Rorr Evo customers have started taking delivery as Oben expands its dealer network across India and works through its order book.

The number grabbing the most attention is 25,000 bookings. That’s a strong sign plenty of riders like what they see, and that Oben has landed on a package that works for Indian commuters. Of course, a booking isn’t the same as a bike in a customer’s garage.
The Rorr Evo is built for commuting and everyday riding, where price, range and reliability can make or break a bike. It's another sign that India's electric motorcycle scene shows no sign of slowing down, with more manufacturers trying to win riders over rather than just grabbing headlines.

For riders outside India, it's worth taking note. The country has become one of the biggest proving grounds for affordable electric motorcycles. Bikes that prove themselves there could shape the bikes we see everywhere else.
The next challenge for Oben is delivering bikes on time, supporting owners and proving the Rorr Evo can take the punishment of daily riding. That's where reputations are built.

The BCB Take

Twenty-five thousand bookings is no small achievement. It shows plenty of riders are ready to go electric when the price and spec are right.
On paper, the Rorr Evo looks like a good match for the job it's meant to do. But this is where Oben really gets tested. Delivering bikes is only the start. Reliability, dealer support and what owners have to say will decide whether it's a bike worth recommending or just another that made headlines at launch.
It's a positive start. And in the end, riders, not booking numbers, will decide whether the bike succeeds.
Ride safe, folks.
