The Hightail is a lightweight American-made electric dirt bike designed for simplicity, agility, and pure riding fun.
Built around a compact chassis and swappable high-discharge battery platform, the Hightail combines motocross-inspired geometry with a clutchless electric drivetrain. Dust Moto’s focus here is all about low weight, low maintenance, and delivering a mid-power, flickable riding experience.
Dust Moto was acquired by LiveWire in May 2026.

Dust Moto isn’t trying to build a full-size electric motocross race weapon. The Hightail is aimed squarely at riders who want something lighter, simpler, and more playful than a Stark Varg. At 235 lb with 42 hp and a swappable battery pack, it hits a really interesting middleweight sweet spot between lightweight e-moto and full-size MX bike.
