The BCB Take

Benzina Zero may not have the profile of some of the bigger e-moto brands, but the Australian company has been building electric two-wheelers for years. Starting with utility-focused e-motos used across agriculture, security, and industrial sectors, the company has since expanded into commuter, delivery, and off-road machines.
The lightweight Tornajo and more powerful Hurajan represent the latest step in that evolution, giving riders two very different takes on electric off-road riding. At the same time, Benzina Zero has shown it's willing to think outside the box, unveiling concepts such as its eye-catching dual rear-wheel electric sport bike concept that pushes well beyond the company's work-focused roots.

The Hurajan's 2-speed gearbox is one of its most interesting features. While most electric dirt bikes stick with a single-speed transmission, Benzina Zero has opted for a gearbox to help maximise the performance of its 21.5 kW motor. The result is stronger low-speed drive, better control in technical terrain, and improved efficiency at higher speeds. It's not a common solution in the e-moto space, but it shows the company is willing to experiment in the pursuit of more usable performance.
Ride safe, folks.
