Ultraviolette has given its X-47 Crossover a major upgrade, launching the new Venom in India with UV’s 100V VX-100 platform.

The Venom is the first production motorcycle to use the new platform, which will also underpin the Tesseract scooter and upcoming Shockwave. And if you want to see what the Venom can do, we've got footage of it pulling two trucks at the bottom of this article.

If you're in Europe, you won't have long to wait to see the Venom for yourself. It's heading to EICMA in Milan on 3 November for its official European launch.

A New X-47, Built Around Ultraviolette's 100V Platform

The X-47 Venom is more than a cosmetic update to the existing X-47 Crossover. It brings UV's VX-100 platform to a production motorcycle, combining a new LIGHTFURY motor, an 11 kWh SRB-11 battery pack and a redesigned motor control unit.

The headline performance figures look good. 30 kW (40 hp), 550 Nm of claimed wheel torque and a top speed of 155 km/h (96 mph). Ultraviolette quotes a 0–100 km/h (62 mph) time of 5.9 seconds and an IDC range of 343 km (213 miles). Kerb weight is 180 kg (397 lbs).

The current X-47 Recon also makes 30 kW, but claims 610 Nm of rear-wheel torque, a 145 km/h top speed and 323 km of IDC range. So the Venom offers less torque but gets to 100 km/h quicker, has a higher top speed and promises more range. At 180 kg, it's 28 kg lighter than the Recon and 17 kg lighter than the original X-47 Crossover. On paper, that's a useful set of improvements.

The new SRB-11 battery is claimed to pack more energy into the same space, with twice the cooling performance of its predecessor. Ultraviolette has also redesigned the motor controller to deliver more power from a smaller unit.

The bike also supports 12 kW DC fast charging, alongside a 1.6 kW onboard charger. That should be a welcome addition for riders covering longer distances, provided there's a compatible charger along the way. The battery also gets a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the circuit quickly if a critical fault is detected.

Radar, Cameras and Rider Assistance

The Venom packs plenty of rider-assistance tech, which carries over from the existing X-47 range. The UV Hypersense system uses a 77 GHz rear radar, with a claimed range of up to 200 metres, supporting blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, rear-collision warnings and overtake alerts.

Front and rear dashcams record at 1080p and 30 fps, with a 120-degree field of view. There's also a seven-inch TFT touchscreen, cruise control, four traction-control levels, switchable dual-channel ABS and Dynamic Stability Control. The new powertrain, battery and 100V platform are the main changes this time around.

India First, Europe Next?

In India, the X-47 Venom is priced at ₹3 lakh, with an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers. Bookings opened on 22 October 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November.

For European riders, Ultraviolette is bringing the X-47 Venom to EICMA in Milan on 3 November 2026. BCB will be there to get the latest details and bring you anything that's still under wraps. European pricing, final specifications for the market and customer delivery dates have yet to be confirmed.

The BCB Take

Ultraviolette wants its 100V platform doing more than powering one bike. The Venom is the first motorcycle to get it, with the Tesseract and Shockwave next in line. If the company can share the technology across different vehicles without compromising what each one needs to do, that could be a smart move.

A claimed 5.9-second sprint to 100 km/h sounds lively, and 343 km of IDC range is an encouraging figure. Real-world range will depend on how and where you ride, but the 12 kW DC fast charging should make longer journeys easier, provided there's a compatible charger along the way.

The Venom looks promising, and the weight saving is a welcome bonus. Price, charging access and real-world range will help determine just how appealing this upgrade is to riders. We look forward to seeing what the Venom can do once it gets some proper miles under its wheels.

Ride safe, folks.
