Time to Void the Warranty: The Big Build Kicks Off

We’re pulling out the wrenches, cracking open the wire strippers, and kicking off something brand new here at Buck City Biker: The BCB Big Build.
This winter, we’re launching a full YouTube series where we’ll take a stock electric motorcycle — the already impressive Mangosteen M1Ps — and strip it back to its essentials. Then we’ll upgrade, mod, and rebuild it step by step, into a street-legal, custom-performance, road-ready monster with more speed, more range, and more style.
What Are We Building?
If you’ve been around the electric motorcycle scene for a while (and we know you have), you'll already know the M1Ps from Mangosteen—or Rooder/Eahora, depending on where you're shopping—is one of the best-looking urban cruisers on the market. But we’re not here to ride stock.
This project is about showing what's possible — not just for us in the shop, but for you in your own garage. We’re diving deep into the M1Ps and taking it way beyond factory spec. That means:

And we’re not stopping at function. We want this thing to look the part, too.
Custom Look, Custom Feel
We’ll be fabricating our own bespoke components right here in the BCB workshop and swapping out stock gear for parts from the Mangosteen Custom Shop. That means:
Rebuilding the dashboard layout
Dialling in a proper custom bobber vibe
Replacing anything that doesn’t scream BCB.
The end result? A low-slung, high-performance electric bobber you can ride daily and show off on weekends.

About the M1Ps (The Base Bike)
The Mangosteen M1Ps is one of the most popular chopper-style electric motorcycles on the market — and for good reason. It nails the basics with reliability, solid parts availability, and that unmistakable low-slung silhouette. A perfect platform for what we’ve got planned.
Stock Specs:
Motor: 4000W (Peak ~6000W) rear hub
Top Speed: ~45–50 mph (75–80 km/h)
Battery: 72V 40Ah lithium-ion
Range: Up to 60 miles reportedly
Brakes: Front and rear hydraulic disc
Tyres: Fat 12-inch wheels, cruiser style (recently upgraded to 13 and 14 by Mangosteen, but ours is the older version).
Charging Time: 3.5 hours
Ride Style: Laid-back cruiser with chopper geometry
Extras: LED lighting, digital dash, dual rear suspension
It’s a reliable machine out of the box — study and punchy. But you know us. Stock just isn’t enough. We're using this as the foundation for something far more powerful, personal, and custom.

Just want a new look? We’ve got you. Can’t stretch to a new motor right now? No stress — we’ll show you how much extra you can squeeze out of a battery swap alone. From small cosmetic tweaks to big-ticket performance mods, every step in the Big Build offers value on its own. Whether you follow along with one upgrade or the whole damn thing, you’ll come out with a better ride.
Transparency Time
Just so you know — Buck City Biker works as a motorcycle sourcing agent, and yes, we do have a trade relationship with Mangosteen. That means we get access to their bikes and parts at trade pricing — but that’s true for all the manufacturers we work with. Mangosteen doesn’t offer us any special treatment or sweeter deals than anyone else.
So why choose the M1Ps for our first Big Build? Simple: we love it. It’s well-built, powerful, reliable, easy to source spares for, and fits our whole BCB vibe perfectly.
