Velca has turned its standard Vortex electric motorcycle into a limited Black Edition, with just 30 bikes available in the lot. But unlike plenty of special editions, this one turns out to be a better deal than the standard bike.
The Velca Vortex takes a distinctly different approach to the electric motorcycle. Built in Spain and styled around a low-slung roadster motorcycle profile, it combines a 13 kW peak hub motor with an 8.2 kWh integrated battery and a claimed 130 km/h top speed.
Forget the lecture hall. Forget the dissertation. You can spend a year designing, building and testing a real racing motorcycle, then take it to a circuit and race it against teams from around the world. All while studying a course completely unrelated to engineering.
