E-Ride Pro has a new electric dirt bike, and it's called the DJ. Unveiled just ahead of EICMA 2026, it packs 25 kW (34 hp), a claimed top speed of 122 km/h (76 mph) and a semi-solid-state battery. It's another addition to an already growing line-up, with plenty of power on tap and some serious off-road ambitions.

The DJ runs a 72V, 50Ah battery with a claimed capacity of 3.6 kWh. E-Ride Pro calls it semi-solid-state, but hasn't shared enough technical detail for us to know exactly what's going on inside the pack.

The motor is rated at 10 kW, with peak power climbing to 25 kW (34 hp). E-Ride Pro claims 630 Nm of wheel torque, a 0–50 km/h (31 mph) time of 1.6 seconds and a top speed of 122 km/h (76 mph). Range is quoted at 100 km (62 miles) when cruising at 40 km/h (25 mph), or 148 km (92 miles) at 25 km/h (15.5 mph). Charging from 20% to 90% takes a claimed 3.5 hours.

The biggest changes compared with the SR are underneath. E-Ride Pro has fitted a wider, reinforced rear swingarm, revised shock linkage and adjustable multi-link suspension geometry. There's also longer-travel suspension, along with a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear.

Early feedback from US dealer GritShift has been positive about the changes to the rear swingarm, axle and suspension linkage. Its testers still reckon there's room for improvement in the suspension, particularly if you're planning to push the DJ hard on a motocross track.

Stopping power comes from 240 mm discs at both ends. The equipment list also includes a TFT display, three riding modes (ECO, SPORT and RACE), three levels of regenerative braking and a 4,800-lumen headlight. Weight comes in at 87.9 kg (194 lb), with a seat height of 880–900 mm (34.6–35.4 inches) and 300 mm (11.8 inches) of ground clearance. Maximum payload is 150 kg (331 lb).

There's also app support for diagnostics and firmware updates, along with battery monitoring for temperature, voltage and cell health.

The DJ is listed at $5,699 in the US, while UK retailer Chained and Charged has it up for pre-order at £5,695. E-Ride Pro's UK website is also taking pre-orders, although there's no confirmed UK delivery date yet.

E-Ride Pro has also hinted at a DJR version in development, reportedly with 45 hp. We'll keep an eye on that one as more details emerge.

The BCB Take

The DJ is almost 5 kg heavier than the SR, but both bikes claim the same peak power. If you already own an SR, the revised chassis might be the biggest reason to consider the upgrade. The early feedback sounds promising, but whether those changes are worth the extra money is going to come down to how the DJ handles when riders really start pushing it.

That semi-solid-state battery claim is another one we'll be watching. It's a big promise, and we'd like to know more about the technology before getting too excited.

If you're shopping for a lightweight electric dirt bike with strong performance, the DJ looks like another tempting option. The spec sheet makes a good case, but the real test starts when riders get it out on the dirt. Can that revised chassis really justify the extra weight and price?

Ride safe, folks.
