The Zero XE is a lightweight electric off-road motorcycle designed for trail riding, enduro and recreational off-road use.
Built around a forged aluminium chassis, removable lithium-ion battery and compact permanent magnet motor, the XE combines lightweight handling with strong low-speed torque, long-travel suspension and a comprehensive electronics package.
Part of Zero's X Line range, the XE and XB show two very different sides of electric dirt riding. The XE is built for serious trail time, while the BX focuses on lightweight, easy-to-ride fun.

The BCB Take

The XE marks Zero's return to lightweight off-road riding, but it takes a very different approach to the company's larger dual-sport motorcycles. At just 101 kg with a removable battery and 635 Nm of rear-wheel torque, it's built to be thrown around trails rather than cover motorway miles.
Unlike many lightweight electric dirt bikes, the XE also comes with a surprisingly comprehensive electronics package. Cruise control, reverse, hill hold, switchable traction control and adjustable regenerative braking are features more commonly found on premium road bikes than a 101 kg enduro machine. That combination of simplicity, low weight and modern rider aids makes the XE one of the most interesting new entrants in the lightweight electric off-road market.
Ride safe, folks.
