DAB x BRABUS: An Unlikely Collab That Works

BRABUS Urban E

DAB Motors has teamed up with BRABUS for a new electric motorcycle collection. It takes the DAB 1 platform and pushes it further into sharper, more performance-inspired territory, with BRABUS bringing tuning and carbon-led components into the mix.

DAB is known for its design-first approach. Small-batch, refined, and brilliantly obsessed with detail. BRABUS comes from the opposite end of the scale, taking already fast machinery and dialling it up to extremes.

This isn’t DAB Motors’ first collaboration, but it’s probably the most integrated yet, with BRABUS shaping both performance and design direction.

The collection lands as a three-bike line-up, each built around the same core DAB 1⍺ platform but pushed into slightly different territory.

Across the range, the headline figure is a 20% 'more intensity' over the standard setup, paired with 23 BRABUS-specific carbon components integrated into the build. That's cool, but the more interesting bit is the new air control surfaces, designed to improve cooling across core components. It’s one of those things electric motorcycle builders still ignore.

The first proper hit from this new universe. The 1⍺ BRABUS uses the standard DAB platform but tightened up with BRABUS input. It’s a refinement, pushing the bike further into premium territory without losing the core feel.

Carbon is everywhere: engine covers, skid plate, front fender, side scoops, all reworked by BRABUS to sharpen the look. Deep black, minimal branding, it's low-key and deliberate. For us at BCB, it's the blacked-out wheels that really hit the spot.

The DAB 1⍺ BRABUS lands at €16,590

The BRABUS Urban E is the next step. DAB say it's designed as the 'ultimate luxury urban vehicle'.

Style-wise, you're now into BRABUS territory. The Urban E comes in two colourways, red and superblack, but what really stands out is those front-facing strip lights, housed within the air control surfaces. Add that to the front scoop and calliper coolers, and this thing starts to take on a new identity.

The BRABUS Urban E lands at €20,800

BCB Take

DAB brings the base architecture and that controlled, premium approach to electric motorcycles. BRABUS injects its obsession with maximising performance and presence. The result is a collection that feels right, despite the contrast.

20% ‘more intensity’ should show up on the road. Actual numbers are still thin on the ground, but the official line is 'more torque, more immediate response, more sensation'. But we want hard figures please. Add the reduced weight from carbon and you’re looking at something that should feel more immediate.

What’s clear is this: It’s a focused, detail-led take on what a proper collaboration looks like when both sides commit. We’d ride them. No problem.

Ride safe, folks.
