When BMW unveiled the Vision CE in September 2025, it looked less like the future and more like BMW having another go at an idea it tried more than 20 years ago. New patent filings give us a better look at what BMW is working on.

Built around a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor and an underfloor high-voltage battery, the CE 04 combines motorcycle-level performance with premium technology, fast charging and BMW's latest connected rider features.
