Energica is Back… Again

The much-loved Italian outfit, and builders of some of the sharpest, track-capable electric machines to ever hit public roads, reckon they’re back on form after yet another wobble behind the scenes. And they’re not being subtle about it.
“This is not a reboot. It is a resurgence. Energica is back.”
Alright then.
They say deliveries will restart in July 2026, timed neatly with peak riding season. Pre-orders get first dibs, and they’re pushing riders to reconnect with dealers now. The message is clear: bikes are coming, and they want you ready.
What Actually Happened?

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know this isn’t the first time Energica have flirted with the edge.
The company had another bout of financial headwinds recently, with operations grinding to a halt and real questions about whether the brand would survive at all. Production stopped. Staff were let go. It looked grim.
Then came the rescue. New backing stepped in to keep the lights on and, crucially, get the factory moving again. It wasn’t clean, and it wasn’t quick, but it was enough to keep one of the few performance e-moto brands from disappearing completely.
(We covered the full saga here: Energica Saved Again – High-Performance Italian Dreams Revived.)
Now they’re back in the seat, promising stability, quality control, and a more measured return rather than a rushed PR splash.
The BCB Take

We’ve heard this before. But if there’s any company that can take a hit, or three, and still find its way back onto the road, Energica probably holds that crown.
They’ve built a solid name for themselves. Not just on spec sheets, but on bikes that actually deliver. Proper performance, solid engineering, and machines that don’t feel like a compromise when you throw a leg over.
That buys you a bit of patience. Not unlimited, but more than most. Still, it’s not a free pass. The stop-start history, the financial stumbles, the uncertainty around support and delivery, it all chips away at rider confidence. And in this game, confidence drives sales.
We want to see them pull it off. The sector’s better with Energica in it. But July needs to land properly. Bikes shipped, dealers supplied, buyers taking delivery without drama. That’s when the “resurgence” will mean something to riders.
Ride safe, folks.
