Something very cool is happening in East Asia. Korean based Compass Rose have revealed the Ciulator — pronounced see-you-later — and visually, it looks like it escaped from a 1950s Grand Prix paddock. Full fairing, narrow stance, low bars, and a tail that belongs under a number board. At a glance, it promises clip-on drama and café racer intent.
Ciulator - a closer look
However, if you're hoping to drop this out the back of your trailer on track day, think again. Under the skin this isn’t a race refugee. It's a commuter first and foremost. Pairing retro race-bike aesthetics with a modern electric drivetrain tuned for everyday use, not outright performance. This is more about the ride to work than the ride of your life.

Unlike a lot of retro-inspired electrics that feel halfway committed, this one goes fully all in. The proportions are awesome and nothing feels like it was added as an afterthought. A proper silhouette that will grab eyes and attention wherever it rides.
Ciulator - what we love
Let’s start with the obvious: it looks fantastic. Compass Rose clearly understand classic race bike design. The fairing setup is full-on, cohesive, and unapologetically old-school in the best way. This is a bike you’d park deliberately within eyesight of your desk.
Another bonus: Pirelli Rosso tyres — a subtle nod to track pedigree. The ergonomics deserve credit too. While it looks aggressive, it’s been softened just enough to remain usable. The bars aren’t wrist-snapping low, the seat has actual padding, and the peg position won’t destroy your knees. It walks a fine line between style and survivability — and mostly stays upright.

Compass Rose Ciulator - what we don't like

The biggest miss is the fake engine casing. Compass Rose have chosen to disguise the battery to resemble a traditional ICE. We get it — but it’s a missed opportunity. Electric bikes don’t need to cosplay petrol engines anymore.
Then there’s the price. While Compass Rose have positioned this as a commuter capable e-moto, it's nowhere near a budget option. At $60,000, the asking figure edges into territory where expectations — and blood pressure — rise quickly. At that level, if buyers don’t pass out, they’ll be asking where all that money went. Meanwhile, their mates just bought two TS Pros for the same cash.
The BCB take

What Compass Rose are doing is reminding manufacturers that design still matters. A lot. The Ciulator proves you can build a practical electric commuter that actually stirs something when you look at it.
Would we ride it to work? Yes — especially in British Racing Green, where style matters as much as function. Would we expect it to replace a weekend weapon or scratch a performance itch? No, and that’s fine.
Compass Rose have delivered a bike with attitude, restraint, and a clear sense of purpose. Lose the fake engine, completely rethink the pricing, and they could be onto something genuinely special. For now, it’s a very cool commuter wearing racing leathers — and a price tag better suited to Elon Musk.
Ride safe, folks
