The electric off-road motorcycle market is getting crowded, and that’s good news for riders. The latest bike looking to grab our attention is the Rerode RX, a mid-size dirt bike claiming 35 kW of peak power for US$6,200.

Meet the Rerode RX

Developed by Rerode with US distributor Pinned Electric, the RX is designed for motocross tracks and technical trails. It was unveiled in China on September 16, with US pre-orders open and first deliveries expected in late October to early November 2026.

The headline figures are 35 kW (47 hp), 790 Nm of claimed rear-wheel torque and a top speed of 125 km/h (78 mph). At 102 kg (225 lb), the RX has some decent numbers for a bike this size.

Power comes from a mid-mounted motor, fed by a removable 97 V, 45 Ah battery with Samsung 50S cells. That works out to around 4.4 kWh. Rerode reckons it'll cover up to 120 km (75 miles), but there's a catch. That's at a steady 50 km/h (31 mph), not charging around a dirt track or picking your way through technical trails.

A full charge takes around 4.5 hours, according to Rerode. You get an aluminium alloy frame, RFloXa suspension, a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear, with hydraulic disc brakes and regenerative braking thrown into the mix.

Seven riding modes are available: Eco, Sport, Sport+, Track, Crawl, Reverse and Park. Riders can also adjust settings through a connected app, with information displayed on a 4-inch TFT screen.

The RX is listed at US$6,200 in the United States, excluding applicable taxes and shipping. Rerode says the bike shown is pre-production, so specifications and appearance may change before delivery.

The BCB Take

More choice is good news for electric dirt bike riders, especially when manufacturers are chasing more power without piling on the weight or price.

The RX has the numbers to get our attention, but we've seen at events like the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout that peak power only tells part of the story. How a bike puts that power down, finds traction and handles rough terrain can matter just as much. Get that right and you've got a bike you can hustle through the technical stuff. Get it wrong and you're in for a wrestling match.

We'd like to see what the production RX can do when someone gets some proper seat time on it. For now, that price and those numbers have got our attention. The trail will tell us the rest.

Ride safe, folks.
