Another twist in the long-running Damon Motorcycles drama. This one leaves even more questions than answers.
Damon Motorcycles confirmed in a recent press release that CEO Dominique Kwong, CFO Bal Bhullar, and board member Karan Sodhi have all exited the company.
Bhullar appears to have been the first to go, departing early last month. Kwong and Sodhi followed shortly after. And right now, it’s not entirely clear who’s still holding the keys.
How We Got Here

For readers who’ve been tracking Damon through the ups, downs, and sideways slides, the timing is notable. Kwong stepped into the CEO role in 2024 after founder Jay Giraud transitioned out of the top job. We spoke with Giraud shortly after that shift in our interview, After Damon, where we talked about his journey, both personal and for Damon, and the strategy around stepping aside.

Not long after, we sat down with Kwong himself for Damon 2.0, where he outlined Damon’s roadmap and attempted to steady the narrative around the company’s progress.
Now, just months later, the executive bench appears to have been cleared out. Damon hasn’t publicly detailed the reasons behind the departures beyond confirming them.
The BCB Take

Leadership turnover at startups isn’t unheard of, especially in the EV sector where timelines stretch, capital gets tighter, and product delivery becomes the make-or-break moment.
But losing a CEO, CFO, and board member in such quick succession isn’t exactly routine either.
Damon has long pitched the HyperSport platform and, more recently, its safety-driven rider-assist tech as a major leap for electric motorcycles. That vision hasn’t officially changed. But right now that vision looks anything but settled.
As things stand, the industry, and plenty of reservation holders, will be watching closely to see who, if anyone, steps into the saddle next.
Ride safe, folks.
