Honda’s WN7 has picked up a Gold at the iF Design Award 2026, and whether you care about trophies or not, it says something about how this bike’s landing.
Let’s be honest, most design awards don’t move the needle for riders. But this one’s worth a second look because Honda didn’t win by going weird.
The WN7’s whole thing has been restraint. No gimmicks, no over-styled bodywork trying to be “the future.” Just a compact naked with proportions that actually make sense. That’s clearly what the judges clocked, the balance between familiar bike DNA and proper EV packaging.
The BCB Take

What shows is that Honda isn’t chasing the concept-bike lot. They’re building something that needs to slot into the real world, where riders care about weight distribution, and whether a bike feels right filtering through traffic or pushing on through a set of bends.
We’ve been covering the WN7 since the bike was launched in 2025. And this award reinforces what we already thought: Honda’s playing the long game: Keep it grounded, and don’t force riders to relearn the basics just because it’s electric.
Honda seems dialled in. Now let’s see the WN7 earn its keep on the road.
Ride safe, folks.
