Damon 2.0, with Dom Kwong

In 2025, Damon Motorcycles was never far from the conversation — fuelled by excitement, controversy, and a growing list of questions that refused to go away.

The groundwork for that started in 2024, when co-founder and former CEO Jay Giraud stepped aside and leadership passed to co-founder — and now CEO — Dom Kwong. Since then, the noise only got louder. DAB 1α: French Design that's Back to the Future

French outfit DAB has been making a serious play with its 1α street bike. Ultraviolette: India’s Electric Motorcycle Pioneer

Ultraviolette: India’s Electric Motorcycle Pioneer

By December 2025, everyone knows the name Ultraviolette. It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since they were an unknown gamble on European roads. But 2025 was a breakout year. The F77 Mach 2, F77 Super Street, and X47 all secured EU homologation, while the dealership network spread across multiple countries with pace.

Before the F77 Super Street ever hit the tarmac, we covered Ultraviolette’s rise back in the spring, giving riders and buyers an early look at what this emerging Indian manufacturer was really bringing to the table.

Dust Moto Hightail: Born in the USA

Before Stark started smashing records and embarrassing petrol bikes on the global stage, electric dirt was already gathering momentum. Let’s be honest — electric drivetrains make sense off-road: instant, controllable torque and zero need for hundreds of road miles between charges.

Back in March, DUST Moto was quietly building its breakout machine: the Hightail. Designed and built in the USA by engineers who know how dirt works, it stood out for all the right reasons. We’re betting the Hightail will be throwing plenty of roost in 2026.

Street Classic: RGNTs Next Step in Retro E-Moto Cool

Earlier this December, we once again turned our attention to RGNT — an e-moto brand that believes hand-built quality and proper classic styling. With the Street Classic, RGNT doubled down on that philosophy, refining a bike that looks rooted in the past but rides firmly in the present. It’s a different approach to e-moto, and one that stood out as 2025 wrapped up.
