Triumph Gets Serious About the Next Generation — Meet the TXP Electric Range

Updated: Oct 8

Triumph has officially unveiled its first-ever electric off-road motorcycles — the TXP range, built in collaboration with OSET Electric Bikes. This new line-up targets kids and young riders, marking Triumph’s first real play in the youth e-moto space and a bold statement about the future of off-road riding.

The TXP series includes four models — TXP-12, TXP-16, TXP-20, and TXP-24 — each scaled to suit a specific age and skill range. They’re designed from the ground up for progression: the smallest, TXP-12, is for riders as young as three, while the TXP-24 can handle teens and adults up to around 90 kg.

The Dirty Specs

These aren’t garden toys. The bikes range from 600 W to 1600 W, depending on the model, with top speeds climbing from 10 mph (16 km/h) to around 24 mph (39 km/h). Triumph and OSET’s modular “2-in-1” chassis lets riders switch between a standing trials setup and a seated off-road mode by swapping seat and mudguard units — smart, simple, and surprisingly refined for youth bikes.

All models feature parental safety controls, PIN-locked power settings, lanyard kill switches, and IP67-rated waterproof electronics. Suspension and braking are scaled by model, with the TXP-24 getting hydraulic disc brakes and full-size geometry that wouldn’t look out of place on an adult trials bike. UK pricing starts at £1,595 for the TXP-12 and tops out at £3,695 for the TXP-24.

The TXP range is hitting the market through selected Triumph dealers, with pre‑orders already open and early deliveries expected before Christmas in primary markets. Some regions may also have support from OSET-affiliated dealers, reflecting Triumph’s global push for youth electric off‑road bikes.

India hasn’t been officially mentioned, and it’s unclear if every model will be available in every market. Regulatory approvals, import processes, and dealer readiness could affect timing, so prospective buyers should check local availability before placing orders.

We Think This Matters

Following Triumph’s buyout of OSET is 2022, this seems the natural next step for the company. The TXP project is more than a kids’ bike launch — it’s Triumph planting a flag in the future rider base. Partnering with OSET, who practically wrote the rulebook on youth electric trials bikes, gives Triumph immediate credibility and experience in a segment that’s exploding quietly but quickly.

This move recognizes what a lot of legacy brands still haven’t grasped: the gateway to long-term brand loyalty starts young, and electric tech makes that gateway wider and safer. The TXP line-up offers a way for kids to get real throttle feel and balance skills without noise, fumes, or maintenance headaches — and for parents, it’s plug-and-play access to the world of motorcycles with the added bonus of enhanced safety features.

If Triumph plays it right, the TXP range will focus not only on teaching kids to ride — it will also cultivate a new generation of riders who remain loyal as they grow.

Ride safe, folks
