Zero Powers Through 2025: Sales, Dealers, and Riders on the Rise

Zero Motorcycles crushed 2025 with its strongest global sales and dealer growth in years, proving its electric models — and the wider e-moto sector — still have legs on streets and trails.

North American retail sales jumped 89 %, a major surge for a brand still proving its bikes matter beyond the niche crowd. Europe and other markets added roughly 17 % growth.

Zero’s full‑size motorcycle segment wasn’t left parked in the pits either. Full-size line-up sales jumped 28 % year-over-year, a sign that even the bigger, more expensive machines are still finding homes.

But you can’t talk Zero’s 2025 without mentioning the X Line — the XB and XE. These bikes are designed to open doors for riders who might’ve looked at pricier models and walked away. The X Line accounted for more than 30 % of total sales in North America and still contributed a healthy slice of the pie in Europe, the Middle East and APAC. That’s tangible proof the strategy to make accessible e‑moto hardware is working.

Dealer numbers grew too. Zero pushed its global retail footprint outwards, adding around 40 % more dealers in North America and taking its worldwide network to over 250 locations. That bolsters service and support — a crucial consideration for riders who know a bike ain’t much without someone to back it up when it’s in the shop.

Notably, December saw a massive spike — a reported 491 % increase in North American retail sales year‑over‑year, underscoring strong late‑season demand. Momentum into 2026 isn’t just numbers — it’s riders backing it with cash.

Zero’s CEO called 2025 “defining,” Zero are a brand still carving out its place against legacy ICE and upstart EV makers alike.

Zero’s numbers aren’t just a win for one brand — they’re a gauge for the wider e-moto sector. More riders are buying, more dealers are stocking, and bigger bikes are finally finding buyers beyond early adopters. Legacy ICE manufacturers who’ve been dipping toes into electric are going to feel the pressure: the market is proving it’s ready for serious e‑moto iron, not just toys or concept bikes. If Zero can grow like this while holding its street cred, the rest of the industry better be ready to keep pace.

Ride safe, folks.
