During AIMExpo2026, YVOLT quietly—but not that quietly—dropped the Surge V. It’s a 35 kW off-road electric pushing a claimed 948 Nm, packing a 4.3 kWh battery, and already hauling in a fistful of design awards. Visually, it ditches the raw, cluttered look we’ve come to expect from dirt bikes and goes its own way. Before we dig into the nitty-gritty, take a look at YVOLT’s video.

Looks to Match

Unlike most off-roaders, the Surge V leans into a panelled side profile, finished with an LED-lit StarLoop that YVOLT says “embodies the harmony between technology and art.” Marketing line aside, it’s a tidy bit of design and one that’ll help you get noticed during dark winter rides or grey evening sessions. In full daylight? Don’t expect miracles.
From what we can tell, the StarLoop is purely visual—style, not trail lighting. That job's left to the adaptive LED headlight up front and the integrated rear light, which actually handle the seeing and being seen part.
What Else We Know (and what we don't)
Tech-wise, it doesn’t look like they’ve held back. The Surge V ships with a tip-over and kickstand sensor, NFC starting, a dedicated night riding mode, plus a carbon fiber vehicle lock cover and rear grab handle. Lighting is proper kit too, with a full high/low-beam LED setup. The frame is a Triple-Beam Forged Aluminum Alloy design—another area where YVOLT is clearly pushing beyond entry-level.
YVOLT has talked up the adjustable rear suspension and long-travel front forks, but in this segment, talk only goes so far. What matters are the hard numbers: how much travel, how much adjustment, and what brand the brakes are. That’s still missing, and it’s info riders actually care about.
If you’re dirt-focused, you might’ve noticed the tire sizes straight away. After speaking with YVOLT, they’ve confirmed 21-inch rims will be available as an optional upgrade for launch customers. You’ll need to specify it when ordering, but it’s there if you want proper front-end confidence.
YVOLT Surge V - The BCB Take

The YVOLT Surge V looks sharp and, on paper, brings solid specs for a middleweight off-roader. Yes, we'd like more suspension and brake details. And if you’re a suspension purist, you’ll probably have opinions about which badge should be on the forks.
That said, if standing out in an increasingly crowded field of electric track and trail bikes matters to you, the Surge V is clearly doing its own thing, blending a ‘cyber’ modern look with impressive specs for the money. Overall, a nice addition to the sector, and judging by YVOLT’s own footage, lifting the front wheel doesn’t take much persuasion either.
Ride safe, folks.
