The Henzo Exists. But Does Rumble Motors?

If you've seen a low-slung, carbon-fibre, circular blur, glide past without so much as a whisper, there’s a good chance you caught a glimpse of a wild Henzo—Rumble Motors’ flagship electric motorcycle. The problem? That may have been the last glimpse. Because while the bikes are real, Rumble Motors itself has all but vanished. So now we’re left wondering: is Rumble quietly retooling behind the scenes, or have they ghosted the e-moto world entirely?

Some Background

Based in Sacramento, California, with Swedish roots, Rumble Motors was founded in 2017 by Reza Khademi. The company is a family effort, though the roles of the co-founders are less well-documented. Their first bike launched through Indiegogo in early 2018, pairing electric propulsion with something decidedly unnecessary: an onboard speaker that mimicked engine noise. A gimmick? Maybe. A sign they were thinking differently? Definitely.

They had a promising start. By 2020, they'd delivered around 200 bikes—most to U.S. customers—and announced plans to shift more assembly to California. But after a handful of social posts and video drops showcasing the Henzo (codenamed V5), their media presence tapered off. By early 2023, a few Henzos had made it to customers. Then? Silence. Their website became patchy, support questions began stacking up, and no new public updates followed.

Rumble Henzo (Codename V5) – Specs

Motor: Custom 8 kW mid-drive motor

Battery: 72 V, 90 Ah lithium-ion (~6.5 kWh)

Top Speed: ~80 mph (130 km/h)

Range: Up to 150 miles (240 km) under optimal conditions

Body: Carbon-fibre

Drive: Chain

Design: A modern silhouette with subtle café racer lineage—low bars, high tail, minimalist bodywork

Despite their minimalist digital presence, maybe Rumble Motors wasn’t hiding. Maybe they were just doing things differently. They certainly weren’t chasing scale and didn’t churn out 10,000 units a year. But today, it's unclear whether they’re still producing at all. Public sales channels are silent, and even used listings have dried up.

A Rumble in the Ride

In terms of rideability, the Henzo appeared to sit somewhere between a lightweight urban sport bike and a premium electric commuter. While full ride reviews were scarce, early riders and the company itself described snappy torque delivery, a rigid chassis thanks to the carbon build, and refined power management. It wasn’t a track bike, but it wasn’t an underpowered moped either. In short: it seemed to go well.

Of course, there were caveats. With boutique scale came boutique problems—like support questions that lingered or chargers that flashed fault codes without much guidance. And now? The biggest problem is simply getting one.

So... Can/Could You Actually Buy One?

That’s the question, isn’t it? Technically, yes—the Henzo was available. Rumble Motors shared a pre-order opportunity in a YouTube video, but there didn't seem to be a dedicated system, no pricing page, and certainly no way to confirm when—or if—you’d receive your bike. But people do own them in the wild, suggesting that things at least started well.

There’s no live online shop anymore; a deep dive finds dead links to Shopify stores, and their website is either under construction or offline. No dealership network exists, and the last verifiable customer interactions date back to early 2023. Since then, we're seeing radio silence.

In short: if you want a Henzo, you're going to have to dig. And even then, good luck. This isn’t a bike you’ll stumble across at your local showroom. But if you do find one, there’s a decent chance you’ll be the only rider around with it—and maybe the only one who still knows what Rumble Motors was trying to do.

So where is Rumble Motors now? A niche builder that burned too bright too fast? A ghost brand with a bike that deserved more? Or are they quietly plotting a comeback? Right now, it’s anyone’s guess. But if they do resurface, we’ll be watching.

Ride safe, folks.
