The 2026 E-Moto Show Circuit: Where the Real News Breaks

As 2026 approaches, the international calendar is stacked with exhibitions that actually matter for bikers, buyers, and those who follow electric motorcycles. These are the events where OEMs drop serious tech, reveal the next wave of bikes, and give a glimpse of where the e-moto world is heading. Not all exhibitions are created equal — here’s where you should actually show up.

AIMExpo — Anaheim, California, USA | Jan. 7–9

North America’s largest motorcycle and powersports showcase kicks off the year in Anaheim. AIMExpo has always been dealer-heavy, but for e-moto riders it’s an early peek at what’s coming from brands like Zero, PXID, E Ride Pro, Rawrr, and Surron, and BRP (Can-Am/Sea-Doo). Expect a mix of production-ready models and concept tech, plus hints at how the US market is adjusting to the EV wave. Early January is prime time to spot trends before they hit the mainstream.

Motor Bike Expo — Verona, Italy | Jan. 23–25

Don’t sleep on Verona. While it’s known for customs and boutique builds, MBE is increasingly a playground for electric innovation. Start-ups and smaller OEMs show up with new rides and tech that you might not see at the big, glossy Milan show. If you’re hunting the bleeding edge — think unique e-chassis setups, battery experiments, and custom electric conversions — MBE is the spot.

IMOT — International Motorbike Exhibition | Munich, Germany | Feb. 20–22

IMOT is Germany’s heavyweight motorcycle fair. It’s the perfect pit stop between AIMExpo and Taipei for spotting what electric motorcycle launches Europe is working on. Expect a mix of established brands and ambitious start-ups showing off electrified machines, next-gen powertrains, and tech that’s shaping the European e-moto landscape. For riders and industry watchers, IMOT is the early-year pulse check on Europe’s EV ambitions — the kind of show where trends start before they make the headlines.

Taipei International Cycle Show — Taipei, Taiwan | Mar. 25–28

Taiwan’s cycle show isn’t just about pedals. This is a hub for OEMs and suppliers to flaunt the latest e-powertrain tech, battery systems, and scooters ready to dominate Asia-Pacific streets. For riders and industry watchers, it’s an opportunity to see the supply chain innovations that will shape the next wave of e-motorcycles globally.

Beijing International Motorcycle Expo — Beijing, China | May 15–18

China dominates the e-moto market, and this expo shows exactly why. Expect a wall-to-wall display of electric motorcycles, scooters, and prototypes from both domestic giants and international players. Beijing’s show is also a hotspot for learning what features are resonating in the world’s largest EV market — giving a glimpse of where trends are headed worldwide.

CIMAMotor — Chongqing, China | Sept. 19–22

If Beijing is the show for scale, CIMAMotor is about industry signals. OEMs, suppliers, and e-moto start-ups converge in Chongqing to reveal next-generation powertrains and smart tech integrations. It’s where the announcements you’ll see in 2027 magazines first appear on the factory floor. For anyone tracking serious innovation, CIMAMotor is a calendar must.

EICMA — Milan, Italy | Nov. 5–8

The crown jewel of global motorcycle shows, EICMA is where OEMs pull out all the stops, dropping concept bikes, production-ready electrics, new e-moto technology, and high-profile announcements that set the tone for the year ahead. For e-moto followers, Milan is the place to see the industry’s ambitions in full display, from high-performance street machines to commuter-friendly EVs.

Motorcycle Live — Birmingham, UK | Nov. 21–29

The UK’s biggest winter show is a mix of public-facing display and industry networking. For e-moto riders, it’s where brands start teasing mainstream-ready electrics, with some high-profile launches debuting in Europe. If you want to see what your local dealerships might stock next year — and which e-bikes are hitting UK streets — this is the one to visit.

Closing the Circuit

2026 promises a packed year for electric motorcycles. From Anaheim to Milan, each show has its own flavour — some for early tech trends, others for major production reveals, all giving a clear line on where the e-moto sector is headed.

Some shows are more rider-friendly and public-facing, like AIMExpo, Motor Bike Expo, IMOT, and Motorcycle Live, while others, such as Taipei, Beijing, CIMAMotor, and EICMA, lean more toward industry players and tech watchers. Either way, these events are where the future of e-moto takes shape.
