Just as we were about to hit “send” on our teaser about Stark's ATV, they dropped a curveball — the VARG SM is now official. (Yes, that’s SM as in Supermoto.)
This isn’t a rumoured model — it’s Stark confirming expansion beyond off-road. Early specs reportedly offer the highest power to weight ratio of any supermoto ever made. Refined for two power options: ≈ 60 hp for the “base” trim, and ≈ 80 hp in a more aggressive “Alpha” variant. Torque also looks like it will eclipse 700 lb-ft (~949 Nm) at the rear wheel when using peak output.
To adapt the VARG platform for tarmac and meet supermoto standards, the SM swaps the EX’s 21"/18" wheels for 17-inch rims, with slightly shorter suspension travel and a lower ride height. The same 7.2 kWh honeycomb magnesium battery carries over, delivering up to 81 km (50.3 miles) of street use under the WMTC cycle, with around 2 hours to charge on a standard European 240 V outlet. Don’t be mistaken — this isn’t just a reimagined EX. Stark is building on their track record and bringing new handling, ride geometry, and distinct urban-focused specs to the market.

Pricing
Standard (60 hp): $12,900 USD / €12,990 / £10,900
Alpha (80 hp): $13,900 USD / €13,990 / £11,900
Available to order now through Stark's own website or local recognised dealers.
With the SM announcement proving that Stark moves fast and means business on the road, it’s worth revisiting what they’ve been teasing beyond street machines — namely, the electric adventure bike (Älg) and the ATV. Cue our original headline...
Stark Says It’s Building an ATV — Believe It
The internet’s buzzing again about Stark Future — and it’s not just hype. The Spanish company behind the VARG MX and the road-legal VARG EX has teased what’s next: an electric adventure bike and a four-wheeled ATV.
You’ve probably seen the headlines spinning out the details — range guesses, power claims, speculative “insider leaks.” But here’s the thing: most of those stories are just rehashing the same few snippets from Stark’s own video.
So, skip the noise. Watch the video yourself and make up your own mind:
Our take? If Stark says it’s coming, it’s probably coming. This is the same crew that dropped an 80-horsepower electric motocrosser and made half the gas world look outdated overnight. They don’t tease vapourware — they build it.
The adventure bike and ATV are the next logical steps in Stark’s plan to dominate every corner of off and on-road riding. If history is any guide, they’ll do it faster, quieter, and meaner than anyone expects.
Ride safe, folks.
