Established through a collaboration between Infront Moto Racing and KTM AG, the European Junior E-Motocross Series is a pioneering initiative that offers a proving ground for young riders with big dreams. The series gives talented kids the chance to race on the same tracks as the world’s best, building confidence, skill, and sportsmanship along the way. The series embraces innovation with an all electric drivetrain, but at its core, it’s about developing the next generation of motocross stars in a professional, exciting, and supportive environment.
A Glimpse into the 2025 Season
The 2025 season is set to ignite enthusiasm among young riders and fans alike. Registrations opened on March 5, 2025, inviting aspiring racers to be part of this electrifying journey. The official calendar comprises five rounds across iconic European motocross venues:
Round 1: May 25, 2025, in Erneé, France
Round 2: June 1, 2025, in Teutschenthal, Germany
Round 3: June 22, 2025, in Matterley Basin, UK
Round 4: July 26, 2025, in Loket, Czech Republic
Round 5: July 27, 2025, also in Loket, Czech Republic
These events run concurrently with the FIM Motocross World Championship rounds, offering young talents the unique experience of racing on grand stages.
The Bikes
Riders must compete on one of the following electric bikes.
KTM SX-E 5
Husqvarna EE 5
GasGas MC-E 5
These bikes are specifically designed for junior riders and offer a great combination of performance, durability, and lightweight design as well as an equivalence in power and range.
Participation Criteria and Requirements
To ensure a competitive and safe environment, the series has outlined specific participation criteria:
Age Requirement: Riders must be 6, 7, or 8 years old as of January 1, 2025.
Racing Experience: A minimum of one year of racing experience is mandatory. Applicants are encouraged to submit photos and videos to validate their experience.
Insurance: While KTM AG provides accident insurance covering disability, each rider must have personal accident and health insurance that includes medical assistance and repatriation. Typically, national and FIM licenses cover these aspects.
Logistics: Riders and their families are responsible for travel and related expenses to events.
Safety Gear: All participants must equip themselves with FIM-required safety gear, including helmets, boots, chest protectors, and goggles.
Approved Motorcycles: Competitors are required to ride KTM, Husqvarna, or GASGAS E-Mini models.
Entry Fee: There is no entry fee; KTM AG covers the costs.
Application Process: Complete applications with all necessary materials are essential. Incomplete submissions may be deemed ineligible, though corrections are permitted.
