DAB Motors Update: Scrambler, Global Deliveries, Customs Stealing the Spotlight

French outfit DAB Motors, backed by Peugeot, has quietly shifted from upstart boutique into something you actually see on streets worldwide — and they’ve got a scrambler to boot.

DAB Motors' Worldwide Reach

DAB 1α
DAB 1α

Since the summer of 2025, DAB Motors has moved from concept vibes to real bikes hitting real roads. The base DAB 1α — that sleek, minimalist urban steed — has been delivered across Europe in France, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, and has also reached customers further afield in Dubai and other international markets.

DAB offers personalisation at scale: owners pick colours, materials, leathers, trims and finishes so no two bikes look the same on the road. Each build becomes an expression of the owner’s taste, references and personal style.

In a segment crowded with generic whitepapers about range and torque curves, that approach cuts through. Riders don’t just own these — they made them. That’s a different kind of buy‑in that’s harder for other brands to replicate.

The 1αX Scrambler: It’s Real, It’s Launched, It’s Rideable

Now for the part you asked about: the DAB 1αX scrambler is a real, production‑ready bike.

Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2025, the 1αX is built off the same lightweight, minimalist chassis that gave the original 1α its street cred — but with scrambler‑style hardware that lets you leave the pavement without feeling like you’ve left the pedigree behind.

What makes the 1αX Scrambler tick?

  • Dual‑purpose stance: knobby Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres, uprated front guard, fork protectors — basically trail vibes without tumbling into full enduro territory.

  • Heart and guts: same basic electric drivetrain philosophy as the 1α but tuned for broader use — about 25.5 kW peak, near 395 Nm torque at the wheel, and range that’ll cover decent weekend rides.

  • Premium touches: adjustable Paioli suspension, Brembo brakes, regenerative braking, an Alcantara saddle, and those signature upcycled carbon fibre panels carry over from the 1α ethos.

  • Plug‑in practicality: sub‑4‑hour full charge times and a frame weight around 125 kg keep it light and usable.

This isn’t a fire‑breathing super‑enduro — it’s a lifestyle scrambler that can hustle through cobbles, gravel and backroads without the dramatic compromises that most boutique rigs make.

Price isn’t cheap — it sits in premium territory at €10,900 to €11,900 — but for riders who’ve been begging for something more capable than a pure street bike without giving up style, the 1αX answers that call.

Custom Builds: When the 1α Becomes Art

On top of global deliveries and the scrambler launch, DAB’s Custom Studio continues to generate buzz — and a few headlines.

While the base model 1α already lets owners dial in bespoke options, DAB has spotlighted a roster of iconic customer builds that are as loud in personality as they are quiet on emissions. Highlights include:

  • Back-To-The-Future edition (our favourite): An iconic reference to the 1985 movie and a genuine piece of awesomeness

  • Verde Turbine Lamborghini: Lamborghini‑green winds up minimal form with bold presence.

  • Blue Serra Ferrari with Mahogany Leather: Automotive heritage meets electric two‑wheels courtesy of a Ferrari collector’s vision.

  • J Balvin × VVT: Futuristic, pop‑culture‑steeped and art‑meets‑ride styled.

  • The Arsenale collaboration: A limited, race‑inspired edition that bridges craft and performance.

  • MGT‑Grey minimalist: A masterclass in understated detail with bespoke Alcantara seating.

These aren’t showroom placards — they’re functional two‑wheelers that double as personal statement pieces. That’s exactly the sort of stuff that gets talked about in cafés and street corners long after the press release dies.

What This Means

DAB Motors is no longer a caffeine‑fuelled concept in a basement studio — it’s a global player with a real product, a real delivery footprint, and a real line-up expanding into genres that matter to riders.

From street to scrambler, from personal custom tapers to international riders choosing their colours and trims — this brand’s carving its own lane.

If nothing else, it proves the e‑moto space isn’t just about spec sheets and drag times anymore — it’s about identity on two wheels. And for a lot of us who ride, that’s exactly the point.

Ride safe, folks.
